Hannah Jane - Backyard Gymnastics

I took quite a few photo's of Hannah Jane playing around on her makeshift gym set, she is a good poser, loves her photo being taken.  Can't believe she does what she does swinging around, takes so much strength and co-ordination, she shows no fear.  This I find quite humorous, Hannah is so scared of riding her bike, well learning to ride her bike.  I had spent many an afternoon runing alongside her holding her trying to help her, for some reason she is scared of the bike, but does some amazing things doing her gymnastics.

Backyard Gymnastics

Hannah Jane is a keen Gymnast, in fact she is pretty damn good at it.  She attended a competition at the end of last year, well just before school ended, we were pretty nervous, as all parents were told that only the best would be recieving awards and trophies, I just didn't want her to be disappointed, as I know she tries so hard.  Well, Hannah Jane got awarded a Gold for vault, Gold for bars, Silver for beam and a Silver for floor.  Pretty proud Daddy here.  Anyway, as Hannah was so into her gymnastics, and wanted to practise every day, before I moved out and left we had an old swing set, it was set up so she could practise alot of her moves, and do her strength exercises.  She was pretty keen to show me what level she is at now, with some extra moves, of course little Emma is pretty keen to follown her big sister's footsteps.

 Two very gorgeous girls

More Toowoomba Cobb & Co

Ok, as the first visit was fun, we did go again, it was a good way for the girls to blow off some steam and have fun, just running around having fun, for me to enjoy playing with them.  It was perfect, just seeing them smile and having fun, I really miss my girls.

Yes it was a great day, as you can see, lots of smiles and fun.

More Toowoomba Holiday Photo's

Ok, well here I go again, after the first week of beautiful warm sunny weather, it started to get a bit wet and cold.  So the challenge was to find a few fun things for the girls to do, that weren't too expensive and didn't require alot of travelling.  A favourtie spot to go to for some fun was the Cobb & Co. Museum.  There was a bug exhibition on at the time, were the kids can get in and look at and learn about all types of different bugs, there was also various craft activities.  We all had lots of fun, as Emma had daycare we couldn't take her.

The Horse is life sized, the girls loved to climb it, Kaitlyn of course was a little reluctant at first, however after seeing Hannah climb up, seeing that it was safe, up she went.
Both girls loved the carriage, both the horse and the carriage are in an interactive play centre, where the kids can role play, there are also costume's for them to get dressed up in and a old style store, the girls love to dress up and had a wonderful time.  Then it was off to look at other displays around the museum.

A few years ago, I think when Grandma and Grandad visited us in Toowoomba, the girls went to the Cobb & Co. Museum, at the time the kids got to paint tiles for a Toowoomba kids display, well our mission was to find Kaitlyn's and Hannah's tile's.  We eventually found them, both girls wer extremely happy and proudn that their own artwork was on display in a museum.

These were set up just outside the bug display and of course we had to take some photo's, funny girls.

Toowoomba Holiday Continued

Wow, it's been a while since I posted anything, I was intending on keeping this Blog up to date.
Anyway, back to the Toowoomba Holiday.
For the first week at least it was pretty warm in Toowoomba, unusual, but kind of nice, the girls and I enjoyed quite a few visits to the local Pool.
Little Emma Louise really wanted me to see how clever she is with her swimming in the girls Pool they had at home.  As you can see, she was pretty happy being in the Pool, but not impressed when it was time to get out, funny little girl.

She is such a funny little girl, I love her so much, apparently she didn't want to get out of the pool, or out of her bathers.

Anyway, as Kaitlyn had her DDD, it was Hannah's turn next.  Hannah and I have always enjoyed going to the Coffee Club in town together, again I forgot my phone, so no photo's of this DDD.  I can tell you though that we had a great time, lots of chatting and laughing.  The plan was to go to Gelatissimo Cafe for icecream as dessert, however Hannah, was deadset intent on having dessert at the Coffee Club, the cakes they had on display just looked way too good, as well as Gelatissimo Cafe Gelato.  We shared a chocolate brownie then headed up to get Gelato.  Hannah chose Chocolate, it was quite funny, Hannah being Hannah, dropped hers, only a few sprinkles added, a quick clean up and it was as good as new.....  We both had a good chuckle about it.  Then it was off home to our holiday home.  Hot Milo each, showers and into bed.  Hannah was happy to have me all to herself for the night.

She is my beautiful girl, I love you Hannah Jane Yates

January 16th - My Birthday Continued.....

Well as previously mentioned, little Emma Louise was getting tired, so was Suzy I think, it had been a busy morning, so they left to go have a nap, also prepare for dinner, I was invited to go up for an early dinner, that Emma was insistant on cooking, well helping anyway.  I was just dying to spend some more time with my little girl.

Kaitlyn, Hannah and I spent the afternoon at the local pool in Toowoomba, both girls love it, it has a big indoor slide that the girls spend alot of time on, the indoor pool also has what they call a 'Wave Pool', meaning that they can almost turn it into surf like conditions, good fun.  Also outside, they had a massive blow up obstacle course, Hannah thought it was just awesome, she had to wait about 30 minutes in line to get on and attempt it, I think it was more designed for older kids, as there were alot of teenage boys on it.  Hannah was determined to have a go, she was amazing, there was alot of jumping from one obstacle to the other, it required good coordination and skill to stay on, something she has, probably due to her gymnastics.  She was so proud to finish unscathed, so was I, as some of the older boys were trying to bounce her off, but she managed to stay on and finish.  I didn't have any photos of this event either, I don't usually have my phone out at the pool, I'm scared someone will steal it when I'm swimming.

Anyway, after swimming, it was back to the holiday cottage, and shower time, get changed and head up to 2 Wattle Close, Highfields, to have a play and dinner with all three of my girls.

As you can see, it was sausages for dinner, along with salad, and some mango for dessert.  Emma was very keen to show me around the yard, we saw the chookies, the guinea pigs, the strawberries, all the mulberries and rasberries had finished, it used to be 'our' thing for Emma and I to go and feed the chookies and put them to bed, and then have a little feed from the mulberry tree's, when they were in season of course.
We had a good time that afternoon and evening, played on the trampoline, Emma showed me her Christmas presents, we read some books together, a wonderful birthday.

The next day we were to meet Suzy and Emma in town, and I would have all the girls for the day, again it was a 'Pool' day.

Hannah found this and needed a photo.... Funny Girl.....

After swimming, the girls and I decided that it was time for a McDonalds ice cream and chocolate shake.  Emma is not really a good sharer when it comes to yummy treats, she was meant to be sharing with Hannah in the back seat, when Hannah asked for a sip, Emma replied, "No, mine"...... I had to remind her to share, she replied, "Ok", handing it over to Hannah to have a turn.  Hannah has a sip, then Emma demands her turn again, it's handed over, and the whole thing starts again.  I'm glad we weren't staying far, so we finished our ice creams and choc shakes at our holiday home.

As you can see she rather enjoyed her shake and ice cream, so did Hannah.....
When Kaitlyn was still a baby, I started doing 'Daddy Daughter Dates', (DDD) this has continued on ever since, with all the girls, it was decided that Kaitlyn would have the first DDD with me, we were going to our favourite place in Toowoomba, Hana - Japanese Sushi Train, followed by dessert at Gelatissimo Cafe.  We both ate alot at the Sushi Train, as usual.... but it was yummy, I normally take photo's of the 2 of us there or at least of Kaitlyn eating Sushi, I didn't on this occasion for some reason, so I have added a photo from a previous visit.  Kaitlyn seems to have quite a taste for the good things, at Gelatissimo she had Caramelised Fig gelato, was very yummy...... I did take a photo of this occasion......

Isn't she just adorable, I love you Kaitlyn Gail Yates, so very much xxx

Gelato at Gelatissimo Cafe, yummy.... Look at how grown up she is, I can't believe she is 11 in May........

After dinner we headed home, well our holiday home.  I had a green tea, Kaitlyn had a warm milo, then it was time for brushing teeth, reading together and bed.

We both had a great time together that night, we read together for a bit, then it was time for kisses, cuddles and lights out, well for Kaitlyn anyway, I stayed up for a bit longer..... I again had to share my bed, Kaitlyn is a real snuggler, meaning that, she just has to be touching or holding me when she sleeps with me, it's kind of nice, especially as I was trying to catch up on cuddles and kisses from my girls.
